Clarity

I have struggled with accepting some of my deficiencies socially are related to my personality, living through life with immaturity and being mildly Autistic might have something to do with the struggles with insecurity and acceptance
Regarding the "Thanksgiving Preview" I want turkey and 4 cheese Mac n' Cheese right in my mouth right now.  I'm happy to post that football, turkey and riding around the town will be fun tomorrow.
At least this waiting game is just as fun as the Pittsburgh Penguins awaited for Sidney Crosby's return after a long absence due to Post-Concussion Syndrome.  I've had 2 concussions and I know how Sidney felt and it wasn't fun.  The first one knocked me out of school for a week in high school in 2002.  The second one knocked me out for a few days last year...so concussions isn't a joke.

Early Thanksgiving Thursday night preview

Baltimore Ravens are hosting the San Francisco 49ers late on Turkey Day.  The battle of the Harbaugh brothers will be brutal.  Why?  49ers assuming the win verses Ravens and the Seattle Seahawks lose to the Washington Redskins they will clinch the NFC West and 1st playoff berth since 2002.
Ravens on the other hand took the Cincinnati Bengals manhood away in resounding win at home without defensive stud Ray Lewis, but the dogfight for AFC North remains with the Pittsburgh Steelers knocking on the doorsteps for division title.
I hope the Ravens and 49ers score at least 20 points.  Trent Dilfer was screaming like a mad man when he threw a touchdown pass for the 49ers in the third quarter to narrow the gap 9-7 verses the Ravens 4 years ago.  Ravens ended up winning game by that very score in a very low scoring, high hitting affair 9-7 in San Francisco...I should know, I saw that game, I was amazed that I didn't fall asleep watching the game. It was the lowest scoring NFL game I watched in my life until the Cleveland Browns defeated the Seattle Seahawks 6-3 earlier this year.
I want turkey and high scoring from theses 2 teams.  Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions will be a shootout and the Miami Dolphins won't be pushovers for the Dallas Cowboys.  Even with those 2 games erlier in the day, my eyes are all over in Baltimore.

Gobble, Gobble!!

NBA Sadness and Bliss at St. Louis

The whole month of the NBA in November was wiped away clean to the point of no return.  I remember taping coverage of the festivities which at the time I didn't know it was for the 1989 All-Star game on BET by VHS (tells you how old I am).  Anyway watching Micheal Jordan, Kenny "Skywalker" Walker among other having fun remind me of the times I had fun watching the NBA as a fan even the lockout season of 1998-99 was just as fun not having a gallon of milk at home compare to having almost no 2011-12 season this year while opening up refrigerator to see an empty refrigerator with food and necessities.  My refrigerator isn't empty, used metaphor to show that the money and support from owners isn't here right now as players are eager to play for less but owner care only about the bottom line.
At least yesterday I enjoyed my final game as a St. Louis Cardinals fan (for the last 15 years) as the franchise win its 11th World Series title in team history.  For the Texas Rangers another season to learn valuable lessons in 2nd consecutive World Series defeat.  Rangers will be back and will close the deal.

Sick of Green

I've never heard such a sickening development in Philadelphia Eagles game verse the San Francisco 49ers.  Defense of the Eagles died in the last 30 minutes to lose 20 point lead and lose the game 24-23.  Eagles look like the Washington Redskins of free agency bringing in players and don't address the weaknesses of the front 7 on the defensive side of the ball.  Offensive line did a good job protecting QB Michael Vick from getting hit and pressured but the line is still as short and frail as the Indianapolis Colts defensive line. The Dream team has become the Gang Green Cream team looking for answers in dismal start to the NFL season.

Sacrifice

What does it mean to sacrifice something to make a person happy.
Does something bad have to happen or an avalanche worth of short-comings
Or does the though of being happy makes you feel insecure in oneself which makes you sad, then feel happy that friends are on their own.
then you want to talk to them but your friends move on talking to people who have the time to be friendly.
Taking bus pictures is an hobby, but what does the pictures tell viewers of them
is it a machine...yes.  Is it everlasting like a computer...no but it's pretty close.
From the time I was thinking of taking pictures and taking snapshots with my mobile phones...covering up for past sadness doesn't make me strong, it makes me cry from the inside if I were inside a photograph.
Scared of being love by real women who see me as a grown man...never feeling no more than a boy just following orders, then complain to yourself wondering why are you so weak in the heart.
Being in a trance of things that changes from year by year like sports teams and politics.
Not understanding life changes with a blink of an eye until I saw some of my buses from Metro being repainted within the last 3 years...why didn't I embrace change when  females who wanted to date me wonder why I wouldn't grow up.
Taking bus pictures doesn't heal the heart...leads me to chase dreams and memories of past failures still sit with me and always duplicating a relationship that made me feel like an innocent child and always draw up memories that didn't exist.
Grades you get in school, or the improving artwork, or earning money to live, or sports teams I cheer for reach the top only means that I need to make the sacrifice of what I like to grow up and have a relationship with an adult woman who knows what she wants.
Kissing sports and Metro buses good-bye is very difficult to do.

Still waiting for a winner in Toronto baseball

MLB team the Toronto Blue Jays is a respected organization which has fallen on hard times in the last 18 years now.  The baseball word has changed as the Blue Jays have not reached postseason play since winning 2 consecutive World Series championships in the 1993 season with a walk-off home run by Joe Carter in game 6.  Baseball critics picked the Blue Jays to be a surprise team in the AL East in the 2008 season, ended up being the Tampa Bay Rays.  Rays never had a winning season and was picked to win only 80 games, instead the team won the AL pennant and were World Series runner up to the Philadelphia Phillies.  Blue Jays have had 7 possibly 8 winning seasons at the end of the 2011 season, aside from Roberto Alomar being enshrigned in pro baseball Hall of Fame and Jose Bautista proving he was not a one hit wonder hitting home run balls, this season is seemingly hopeless.

Here are notable comings and goings since the calendar year of 1993 in Sports.
  1. Charles Barkley was named NBA MVP and lead the Phoenix Suns to NBA finals losing to Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen and the Chicago Bulls.  Bulls won 3rd consecutive from NBA title from 1991-93 then won 3 more consecutive tittles from 1996-98
  2. Philadelphia Phillies ended similar playoff drought by winning NL East in 2007
  3. Colorado Rockies and Florida Marlins were born in 1993
  4. Montreal Canadians win last Stanley Cup Final in 1993 which was the franchise's 24th cup
  5. New York Yankees surpasses Montreal Canadiens for the most championships won by 1 team in North American sports teams in 1998 by sweeping the San Diego Padres.
  6. Charlotte Hornets moved to New Orleans in 2002
  7. Montreal Expos moved to Washington at the end of the 2004 season
  8. Boston Red Sox ended 88 year curse by winning World Series in 2004
  9. Chicago White Sox punishment from Black Sox scandal ended by winning World Series in 2005 season
  10. WNBA started play in 1997.  Former franchise Houston Comets wins first 4 WNBA titles from 1997-2000
  11. MLS started in 1996
  12. Hockey returns to Winnipeg after 15 year drought as Atlanta Thrashers were relocated this year 2011.
  13. NBA perennial losers, contenders and chokers Dallas Mavericks win NBA title this year 2011
  14. Denver Broncos win 2 consecutive Super Bowls from 1997-98
  15. New England Patriots become a dynasty by winning 3 Super Bowls from 2001-04 and first undefeated 16 game NFL season in 2007.
Not into celebrities born or alive at this time
  1. 2Pac was still alive in 1993 with album release Strictly for my N. #.#.#.A.S.  2Pac was murdered in September 1996.
  2. After hard work and being put aside Eminem made his long awaited debut in 1999 The Slim Shady LP.
  3. Jay-Z made his debut in 1996 and DMX made his in 1998.
  4. Beastie Boys have released 6 albums since then including their newest album this year Hot Sauce Committee Part 2.
  5. Michael Jackson, Barry White, Luther Vandross, John Lee Hooker, Teena Marie, Rick James, Jam Master Jay, Soulja Slim, Grover Washington II, Teddy Pendergrass all have past away since then.
The point is left to be said, no matter how many logo changes or jersey changes a team can make the Toronto Blue Jays have to find some way in tough AL East to build a winner.
